Spew

Living in 2010 has been like sifting through unpleasant moments driven in hopes of finding a mystical moment.
As if life were about digging deeper into a plot of land because there's no other thing we know.
On the way down, we find shiny objects that make us smile for a moment.
Our frown then returns as we realize we must continue to dig because it's the only thing we can do seeing that we can no longer reach the surface that is but a faded memory.
We look up and can only see what we've never touched: the endless sky.
We've learned enough to know that at some point something will cause us to stop digging indefinitely.
Whether the shovel breaks, our body breaks, or the earth breaks into something that consumes us.
An end is guaranteed.
The method, undetermined but continuously a fact of the reality.
